Hello, Grace.

As you know, I’ve taken time to really be present to my boys. David was having some emotional challenges at school, but all is so much better. He adjusted well and is thriving emotionally, mentally, and physically. During this school year, I have seen Jonathan’s confidence also grow. He is a visual learner and I know he has made academic gains that he feels really good about. The school year is coming to an end.

Together, we have settled into our apartment and the routine of going back and forth from one home to another then school and work and back home. Grace, you have seen us daily, you have been present to me, and you have waited patiently for me to reach out. Today is the day.

My soul longs to come home to a spiritual resting spot. Every day I am exhausted and yet feel so blessed by God for all that I have. I’m on a lifelong journey with you. I know sometimes the path gets dusty, but with you alongside me, the dust settles and you bring clarity. I just have to be open, listen, and trust.

A note from the co-authors, Marisol and Caterina: “Hello” is a song created by Tina Sicre for MissGuidedMom. Tina is an amazing performer with incredible vocals. Her gift of song is a blessing in our lives and we are honored to share this with you.

Guiding Lesson:

Eve, welcome home.  I’m so glad you reached out again and had faith that I am always here regardless of how long you feel you’ve been away.  The choice is yours to come back.  The choice is yours to remember you’re not alone.  The choice is yours and my arms are always open to receive you.  And that is something you can rely on.

So what makes you return back home?  Back to God? Back to yourself?  Is it because of what you get?  Or do you return because of what that person does not take away – what you know is yours because of who you belong to?

Think about it.  As a mother, your children will grow up and leave home.  However, based on the bond you have, they know they can come home to where they belong, to where they feel accepted and loved. They believe that you never took away what they know is theirs…which is your love.  It’s always theirs no matter what.

Now think about yourself and your relationship with God.  Enjoy some special time reflecting on this while you read Pearls of Grace.

Love,

Grace
